Our Story
Devri and Khalil met in 2019 when Khalil's best friend, Mason Jones, introduced the two. It is only right that the game of basketball played a part in their love story. In high school, Devri and her sisters used to train with the same trainer as Mason therefore they established a friendship and kept in touch. When Khalil and Mason met at The University of Arkansas, Mason played cupid and the rest is history.
On July 2nd, 2023 Khalil planned the most thoughtful engagement. Devri came home after church with her sisters to a letter on her bed. The letter explained "today is the day." She cried, pulled herself together and had the most relaxing yet exciting time with her sisters getting ready for one of the most memorable days of her life. She arrived at her parent's home where Khalil, family, and friends had put together the most beautiful flower backdrop that read "Will you marry me?" While Khalil was at a loss for words before he dropped to one knee, his actions spoke loud enough. They finished the day with family and friends at the same place they had their first date back in 2019, Pappadeaux. Devri describes her engagement as "a dream come true."
They are so excited to start the next phase of their lives together and can't wait to celebrate with you in May!
